January - February, 2025 - Provide Convenience Items for PSS
Public Safety Civil Service asked for items that candidates at the oral boards may find helpful in having in case of emergency. We provided mints and we also provided comfort kits that were comprised of toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, shavers, napkins etc. to help during those "it happens" moments that life throws our way. Special shout out to Mrs. Burgado for helping us find those cost-effective kits and for Franco Duarte-Pestaña for receiving and delivering those.
January 5 and 26, 2025 - Oral Board Prep for Entry Level SFD
This event was extremely successful! Members volunteered to assist people that are going through the current oral board process. We did not advertise and we still were able to offer this to over 40 people. This was an additional 20 than what we had planned for, we just couldn't turn people away.
October 9, 2024 - Interview with Jaime Mendez on Univision Seattle!
Members of our Hispanic Firefighters branch will be interviewed by Jaime Mendez of Univision in another recruitment event on Univision's Facebook Live!
September 27, 2024 - Sound Transit Latin Expo
Members of our Hispanic Firefighters branch will be attending Sound Transit's Latin Expo in an effort to recruit qualified candidates to seek employment for the fire department!
